The ICTC team


Arianne Struik, director of the ICTC in Perth, provides training internationally and treatment in Australia and New Zealand.
She is a clinical child psychologist, family therapist and EMDR practitioner and consultant from the Netherlands.
Arianne has more than 20 years of experience with trauma treatment for children living at home, in foster families or in
residential facilities. She developed Sleeping Dogs, an award-winning treatment method.
She is a member of the ESTD Child and Adolescent Commitee.


Caroline Dierkx is one of the ICTC’s Sleeping Dogs trainers. She provides training and consultation on the Sleeping Dogs method internationally. As a clinical psychologist and EMDR therapist, Caroline has broad experience with trauma treatment in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Infant Mental Health en is currently working with chronically traumatized, infants, children and families in Psycho-trauma Centre Sterk Huis in Goirle, the Netherlands. From her private practice, Caroline provides training on trauma and attachment (Praktijk073).

Mirjam   Mirjam Pijpers is one of the ICTC's Sleeping Dogs trainers, Clinical Psychologist / Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Practitionar, Mirjam Pijpers provides training and consultation on the Sleeping Dogs method. Over the last fifteen years she has been working with chronically traumatized infants, children and their families in a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital in the Netherlands, where she was programdirector for children with emotional disorders for two years. She recently commenced working in a general hospital with children and adolescents, who have experienced medical trauma. Mirjam also provides training on the trauma and attachment from her private practice (Praktijk073)
