Jeg udviklede Sleeping Dogs®-metoden til at engagere kronisk traumatiserede børn, som ikke vil eller er i stand til at deltage og gennemføre traumebehandling.
Sovende Hunde-metoden er beskrevet i bogen Treating Chronically Traumatized Children. Sovende Hunde-metoden (Struik, 2019, 2. udgave), med oversættelser på hollandsk og dansk. Jeg giver behandling til kronisk traumatiserede børn og voksne i Australien og New Zealand på en Fly-In-Fly-Out-basis og månedlige EMDR-klinikker fra BITS Medical Center, Boyne Island QLD Australia.
Arianne er direktør for Institute for Chronically Traumatized Children (ICTC) i Agnes Water Queensland Australia. Hun er klinisk børnepsykolog, familieterapeut og EMDR terapeut, oprindeligt fra Holland. Arianne har mere end 25 års erfaring med traumebehandling af børn, der bor hjemme, i plejefamilier eller i andre botilbud udenfor hjemmet. Arianne udviklede Sleeping Dogs-metoden. Arianne er medlem af ESTD Child and Adolescent Committee.

As a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR C & A Consultant in training, Danny has broad experience with trauma treatment in residential youth care and is currently working with chronically traumatized infants, children and families in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Breburg, Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Mirjam is a Clinical Psychologist / Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Practitionar. For more than 16 years, she worked with chronically traumatized infants, children and their families in a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital in the Netherlands, and was program director for children with emotional disorders for two years. Mirjam then worked in a general hospital with children and adolescents for 4 yearsMirjam also provides training on the trauma and attachment from her private practice. At this moment Mirjam works in Child and Adolescent Mental Health with children from 0-12 years old.
Gerinda van Haaften is a Clinical Psychotherapist, IMH Specialist and an EMDR C & A Consult in training. For seven years Gerinda worked with newborns in a hospital and in 2012 in private practice KJP Dumoulin/ Beter Starten and is specialised in the treatment of trauma and attachment difficulties with young children and their families with the Parent Child EMDR Therapy.
As a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR C & A Consultant in training, Caroline has broad experience with trauma treatment in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Infant Mental Health and is currently working with chronically traumatized, infants, children and families in Psycho-trauma Centre Sterk Huis in Goirle, the Netherlands. From her private practice, Caroline provides training on trauma and attachment.
Anja Dumoulin is a Clinical Psychotherapist/ Psychotherapist and an EMDR C & A Consult in training. Anja worked in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for more than 25 years with chronically traumatized children with attachment difficulties. Since 2025 she works from her private practice KJP Dumoulin/ Beter Starten and is specialised in the treatment of trauma and attachment difficulties with (young) children and their families with the Parent Child EMDR Therapy.

Sarah er en af ICTCs danske Sleeping Dogs-undervisere og giver træning og konsultation i metoden i Danmark. Sarah er autoriseret psykolog, specialist i klinisk børnepsykologi, akkrediteret EMDR- og TF-CBT terapeut og har arbejdet med komplekse børne- og familiesager i de sidste 12 år. Hun har arbejdet i et team specialiseret i vurdering og behandling af børn og unge udsat for seksuelt misbrug. Sarah arbejder nu med traumatiserede børn, unge og familier i egen klinik.
Charlotte er en af ICTCs danske Sleeping Dogs-undervisere og giver træning og konsultation i metoden i Danmark. Hun er klinisk psykolog, Theraplay-terapeut niveau 1 og EMDR terapeut. Hun arbejder med familier i et kommunalt familiecenter i Storkøbenhavn. Hun blev specialist i børnepsykologi i 2009 og har i 15 år arbejdet med komplekse familier, unge og deres netværk i en systemisk ramme.
